Principal Medical Writer - Policy Practice , Oxford
Our Policy Practice is seeking an experienced writer with at least three years of experience, to play a key role in supporting the development of deliverables for public health campaigns. A flair for communicating clearly and concisely with lay and professional audiences is essential: these include patients, advocacy groups, policy decision-makers and the general public, as well as doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.
Currently the work is in the area of ‘brain health’ and neuroscience – mainly multiple sclerosis, dementia and Parkinson’s disease – but there is scope for this to develop in other therapy areas. This role offers a great opportunity to progress your career in interesting and rewarding ways.
The deliverables include
- evidence-based policy reports
- short summaries for specific audiences
- digital media and social media
- slide presentations
- scientific abstracts and posters
- papers for peer-reviewed journals.
Strategic planning and regular interactions with our wide range of clinical experts and other stakeholders are important parts of the role. In ‘normal times’, attendance is required at occasional focus group meetings (e.g. with patients and advocacy groups) and/or subject-specific conferences. Some of these may now be replaced by online meetings. If you are interested in this role and have the relevant experience please send a CV and cover letter to our Talent Acquisition Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
