Senior Editor, Maternity Cover, Oxford
One of our editors is due on maternity leave in a couple of months and so we are looking for a Senior Editor or Associate Principal Editor to join us to cover this, although it is likely that the role will continue in a permanent capacity after this period. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in editing scientific publications and will be comfortable working in both print and digital. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team working with our medical writers who are based in our offices in Oxford.
You will have responsibility for the editing and production stages of a variety of projects and will have opportunities for professional development. We pride ourselves on adhering to the highest of editorial standards for our clients and you will make a valued contribution to our continuing success.
We are looking for a talented Senior Editor who has:
- A science degree with honours, preferably in the life sciences
- strong editorial and production experience, ideally in healthcare communications
- exceptional scientific editing and proofreading skills
- an eye for design and layout
- the ability to work well under pressure.
Experience in the following areas would be beneficial:
- scientific posters
- manuscripts for submission to internationally renowned journals
- slide decks
- meeting materials and meeting reports
