We’re looking for an experienced medical writer to play a leading role in a team based at our gorgeous offices near Oxford. You’ll work closely with great writers and project managers in a fast-growing team to become the key contact and scientific lead for a broad disease awareness programme in heart failure, a major focus area for one of our largest clients. You’ll also be the content lead on Open Pharma, our multi-sponsor advocacy project that brings innovations in open science into the world of medical publications.

We want someone who is passionate about scientific publications and communications, and who enjoys engaging with a broad range of stakeholders in healthcare communications (including clients, academics, publishers, patients and company management). To make the most of this role, you’ll need a balance of top-quality writing and reviewing skills, and an instinct for innovation. You’ll have the opportunity to shape our support for our clients, including working with our Digital, Creative and Patient Engagement teams, and you should have the confidence to lead projects and programmes with direct client contact, review of other team member’s work and responsibility for success.

We are looking for an established and talented Senior Medical Writer who has:

  • a science degree (PhD advantageous), preferably in life sciences
  • experience within a senior medical writing role, in a medical communications or pharmaceutical company
  • a proven track record in high-quality strategy and delivery of publications and communications.
