Senior Medical Writer (Patient-reported Outcomes), Oxford
Our patient-reported outcomes (PRO) division, based in Oxford, have a busy year ahead and we are hoping to complement the team with an experienced Senior Medical Writer to play a leading role across our accounts. We are looking for a writer who enjoys working on a broad range of publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, systematic literature reviews and lay summaries (both internal infographic communications and external publications).
Experience or an interest in PRO would be a bonus because there is an increasing demand for specialist PRO knowledge across our company, including writing up qualitative research, studies testing and validating PRO and PRO clinical trial endpoints. We are looking for a senior writer with a passion for incorporating the patient voice into publications and helping PRO to reach a wider audience. In addition to our PRO work, we currently have accounts supporting mature brands in a rare gastrointestinal disease and in the cardiovascular therapy area; for this, experience in real-world evidence would be beneficial.
We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working on several projects simultaneously and can mentor and support junior team members. We have long-standing relationships with many of our clients; the role will involve regular client contact and engagement with academics. You will ideally live within a commutable distance from the office, although we can consider remote working and/or flexible working if needed.
We are looking for an established and talented Senior Medical Writer who has:
- a science degree (PhD advantageous), preferably in life sciences
- writing experience gained within a medical communications or pharmaceutical company
- expertise in PRO (desirable, but not essential).
