PrintEvery year at Oxford PharmaGenesis, we ask our employees to nominate a charity so that we can make a donation in lieu of sending Christmas cards. This year, the overwhelming majority voted for the Ebola Crisis Appeal run by the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

DEC member agencies and their partners are working urgently to halt the spread of the disease and provide support to those affected by the crisis. The Ebola outbreak is not only a health crisis but also a humanitarian crisis of global dimensions. The DEC member agencies – which include Action Aid, Age International, British Red Cross, CAFOD, Care International, Christian Aid, Concern Worldwide, Islamic Relief, Oxfam, Plan UK, Save the Children, Tearfund and World Vision – have already provided practical support to over half a million people affected by the crisis. in addition, 7.5 million people have received vital public health information to help to keep them safe and stop the spread of the disease.
