Patient engagement

Patients are more informed and more empowered than ever before to manage their health and quality of life. Engaging with the patient perspective and communicating effectively with patients are key objectives for all healthcare stakeholders.

Our conceptual framework puts improving patient health first, a principle that we have followed since the company was founded in 1998. Most recently, this has driven us to establish our Health Policy and Rare and Orphan Disease practices.

The patient perspective can provide unique insights that help to demonstrate the benefits of treatments, run more efficient clinical trials and design superior patient support programmes. Our mix of scientific rigour, engaging content and knowledge of health literacy enables us to provide tailored communications that patients value. We are proud to play a role in supporting our clients to meet patients’ needs.

Example of our corporate social responsibility

In 2017, Dr Bug: Microbe Mayhem was created by our in-house patient engagement team. Since then it has been used in schools, showcased at the Oxfordshire Science Festival and is still making waves in educating children about antibiotic resistance. Visit our page here to find out how to download the app or contact to find out how to use it in your school or practice.

“Dr Bug: Microbe Mayhem! is a fun game that will help to educate the general public, and children in particular, about antibiotic use.”
