Before I started at Oxford PharmaGenesis, I worked in academic publishing, but I wasn’t quite satisfied in my role. I wanted to be part of something bigger; part of a company which is not only passionate about its work, but also cares about its employees.

Initially, I worked as a Project Coordinator in a client-facing team, but the opportunity to combine my creative background and skills with my newfound love of communications was missing. An opening with the global Creative team gave me this opportunity and, soon, I was able to advance in my career to Project Manager.

The Creative team works with all colleagues in our UK, US and Australian offices, providing a wide variety of different and unique projects. From animations to infographics, posters and PowerPoint decks, no two days are the same. It is my responsibility to make sure that the projects run smoothly, consulting the teams on appropriate budgets, scheduling, resource and overall management of the creative elements. Project management is not all about spreadsheets and schedules! I have the amazing opportunity to work with a wide variety of people from across the globe on different aspects of health – diseases, medical care and education, to name a few.

Oxford PharmaGenesis also allows me to expand my skills and experience beyond my day-to-day role. I work with our internal CONNECT team, which hosts peer-to-peer showcases, sharing a plethora of knowledge across the global business, and allowing me to see first-hand the different types of work we do. I chair the social committee, enabling me to collaborate with other individuals in the business I don’t interact with day-to-day. Our mission is to create experiences that allow our colleagues to relax and hopefully become more connected on a personal level. One of my proudest achievements, outside of being a Project Manager, is being a Mental Health First Aider. This is a very important part of who I am as a person; we are here to help colleagues who need our support.

Who knows where a career at Oxford PharmaGenesis could take me! Whether it is managing the design of a brand new logo and identity for one of our clients, social media posts for a charity event at Oxford PharmaGenesis, or perhaps the day-to-day management of the team and resourcing, I’m looking forward to my future here!
