With the success of Team GB at this year’s Olympics in Rio, Oxford PharmaGenesis refused to miss out on all the fun. We held our own Office Games in Oxford to raise money for the charity Worldwide Cancer Research (www.worldwidecancerresearch.org), which funds promising cancer research in world-renowned institutions across the globe. The company sponsored each participant and spectator at the Office Games (no excuses!), with representatives from every team in Oxford. The four disciplines were as follows.

  • Stapler race: how many staples in a piece of paper in 15 seconds?
  • Paper plane javelin: who can get their paper plane the furthest?
  • Pen fencing/wrestling: an arm wrestle using pens
  • Wheelie-chair race: an office chair race.

Bronze, silver and gold medal positions were announced and the company raised over £250 for Worldwide Cancer Research.
