Oxford PharmaGenesis is proud to sponsor a dedicated supplement in USA Today, helping raise awareness of clinical trials. The June 2021 supplement aims to increase the visibility and public understanding of clinical trials, and help patients to prepare and navigate the clinical trials process.

Oxford PharmaGenesis stands alongside several global pharmaceutical companies in supporting this CISCRP campaign. CISCRP (The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation) is a non-profit organization that runs large-scale educational media campaigns to build clinical trial awareness within diverse patient communities and among the general public.

The USA Today Clinical Trials supplement honours ‘Medical Heroes’ – study volunteers, clinical trials professionals, healthcare providers, industry organizations and everyone dedicated to advancing clinical trials – for their contribution to improving public health. It’s the latest CISCRP campaign designed to improve public perception of the clinical research industry, reinforce trust and communicate the benefits of participation.

Oxford PharmaGenesis COO Richard White said: “The development success story of the COVID-19 vaccines was in no doubt significantly aided by the fantastic collaborative work of experts and volunteers involved in vital clinical trials. We are proud to continue our work with CISCRP – a leader in patient engagement – and help raise awareness of clinical trials through this campaign.”

In May this year, Oxford PharmaGenesis supported a CISCRP campaign to raise awareness of patient diversity in clinical trials. In line with Oxford PharmaGenesis’ commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, the campaign aimed to foster greater patient diversity to help medical researchers to tackle diseases that could affect anyone, and to help build trust in treatments.
