VH.facebook_1438590779090Commercial Director of Oxford PharmaGenesis, Richard White, has completed the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 cycle race to raise funds for VICTA (Visually Impaired Children Taking Action), a charity that supports blind and partially sighted children in the UK. Oxford PharmaGenesis matches donations raised by employees in events that support health-related causes.

“I want to thank everyone who sponsored me – the donations are all hugely appreciated and will make a big difference to a relatively small patient organization,” Richard said.

“It was an amazing experience to be among 25 000 people competing in the event, most of whom were riding in aid of charities and patient organizations.” Richard completed the ride on Sunday 2 August in a time of just over 5 hours (5:06:48).

The RideLondon 100 is a traffic-free event based on the 100-mile route of the professional Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic race, beginning at the Olympic Park (with the first wave of riders starting at 6 a.m.) and taking riders through the centre of London and then out to the Surrey hills, before returning to the city for the finish on The Mall.

If you would like to make a donation, please visit Richard’s fundraising page at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/richyrichwhite. Because of the matched donations by Oxford PharmaGenesis, your donation will count double for VICTA!
