HEOR and RWE in the COVID-19 pandemic: highlights from the first virtual ISPOR meeting

In May 2020, members of the Oxford PharmaGenesis Value Demonstration Practice joined more than 1300 health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) and market access professionals from 54 countries for the first ever fully virtual ISPOR meeting, participating in a broad range of presentations, workshops and symposia across the three-day conference. Although real-world evidence (RWE) and HEOR methods were naturally the focus, the COVID-19 global pandemic took centre stage in many presentations and discussions. Nevertheless, there was broad agreement that the role of RWE and HEOR in healthcare decision-making will continue to grow in the coming years.

In February 2020, a small group of medical publication professionals from pharmaceutical, publishing and medical communications companies came together in San Diego, CA for TIPPA 2020. Oxford PharmaGenesis attended as a gold sponsor of the event, with Brian Falcone, Ruvini Jayasinghe and Rachel Brown from the Philadelphia office on hand for two full days of presentations, panels and discussions on best practice for building medical communications strategies within our changing industry.

Oxford PharmaGenesis launches regional office in Melbourne, Australia

Oxford PharmaGenesis celebrated the official opening of its newest regional office on 27 February by holding a launch event at Melbourne’s Bio21 Institute. The attendee list included representatives from: current and potential client companies; universities and hospitals; the Victorian state government; partner organizations; and patient groups.
